The hardest working man in the French biz is back with another full length. Already his 4th solo album, and we don't even count in the soundtrack and F#?k That album he did last year. Dude's been working his ass off, and it doesn't even show.
This album is another one in a row of albums which are setting a new standard in the French scene. Disiz has the talent to rip about any beat and over the last few years he's been showing it on every album he did. On the F#?k That album het ripped it mostly over synths, and a few months later he did the same with more organic productions creating a totally different vibe.
"Les Histoires Extra - Ordinaires D'Un Jeune De Banlieue" is a new stage of his life in music. He explored his roots with "Itinéraire d'un enfant bronzé" and now brings us the sequel.
On "Inspecteur Disiz" he compares some of the most respected and well-known rappers in France to functions at the government office, which would be funny indeed:
"J'm'explique, le rap a prit la place d'la politique,
Joey Starr vient d'être élu président d'la république,
Booba est notre ministre de l'intérieur,
Rohff a pour poste ministre de la guerre,
Diam's est au ministère de la culture,
Le rat Luciano au ministère d'l'agriculture,
MC Jean Gab'1 est chef de l'opposition,
Et l'opinion des halls change souvent de position"
"Les Histoires Extra - Ordinaires D'Un Jeune De Banlieue" shows an introspective and intelligent MC and really only confirms his position at the top of the game. With great conceptual tracks like Ispecteur Disiz, Fuck You part 1 & 2, Lyly, Miss Désillusion and Juste Kiffer Disiz provides another quality outing with great productions and rhymes alike, which cement his status.
